Occupational
Safety and Health covers a wide area.
Incidents, hazards, injuries, near misses have to be captured, actioned,
reported on and then managed to eliminate or minimise the chance of them occurring again.
The OSH module is only part of the total Paper Tiger
approach to OSH management. The Document control, Training management,
Audits, PPE and equipment issue, Hazardous materials and Permit to work
modules, all play a part - some of them critical.
Without them You only have a partial OSH management system.

right mix of components
For organisations with plant to maintain there is a
Paper Tiger planned maintenance module and a Calibration module.
Paper Tiger tackles Incidents, hazards and injuries in an effective, proven manner, using
the Front Office/ Back Office concept. The key is to
capture incidents the moment they occur or better still, catch them
while they are only hazards.
Injuries, incidents, hazards, near misses are captured in simple Front Office screens or
using the
Internet
and channelled to the password protected Back Office.
In the Back Office a CPA module designed specifically for OSH is the first step where issues are classified, assigned, deadlined, tracked and managed by
experienced staff.
"Management" screens give instant advise on problems where remedial action has
not been initiated, solutions in progress and those that are overdue.
Where a hazard or the underlying cause of an incident cannot be eliminated the issue transfers into
Paper Tigers Hazard Management module.
Risk levels are determined, Control measures and Review frequencies are set
and Reviewers assigned. Hazard register where hazards are prioritised
according to risk level and review schedules are produced.
Measures put in place to manage the hazard are monitored and the results recorded. This
continues for the life of the hazard. Flowchart

Reporting in the OSH module is extensive.
There are more than twenty report criteria plus wildcards that can be combined in any way
to generate several hundred different reports, graphs and trends.
Reports are created in an uncomplicated process. They are easy to create and
to identify the real
problems in the organisation. Data can be exported to Excel for further analysis.
Once identified, systemic improvements can be made to minimise or eliminate hazards and
the results reported and graphed to ensure real problems were corrected - not just the
symptoms.
For organisations aiming for accreditation with ACC, or compliance with AS/NZ 4801, Paper
Tiger provides all the components to achieve that - up to and including tertiary level.
